Introducing CREA Nature Investigators (CNI)!

The CREA Team has been working with our summer college interns, Alex and Lily, to bring you a virtual summer camp package, called CREA Nature Investigators (CNI)! This program is FREE and available to everyone –  anywhere!

3x/week, we’ll be sending out links to summer camp-type activities that you can do with your younger child(ren), or that older children can do on their own. CNI activities are geared towards grades 1 – 5, but can be adapted for any age (even adults!). We may sometimes provide resources for those who want to take a deeper dive into the topic.

The link will take you to a post on our website that has a short description of the activity, a link to a short video featuring Alex and Lily as they showcase the activity, and a short written description of the activity and any supplies needed.

Share the link with your family members across the globe, or with a friend next door.

How do I Sign Up?

We used the Remind app last summer to communicate with our camp parents last summer. Through the app, you’ll receive a short text message with a link to the activity. You can also access the posts on the News page of our website. Texted activities will start July 6 and run through late August, 3 days a week – M/W/F. Wednesdays will be Wacky Wednesdays – we’ll invite you to do something … wacky! To sign up:

1. Go to Remind.com or download the app.
2. Create a free account.
3. Click on “Join a Class” and enter the class code: @wownature

We hope these summer camp activities will connect your family with nature this summer while we are apart. We’d also love to see what you are doing at home, feel free to snap a picture and send it to  or share it on Instagram or Facebook tagging CREA in your post or caption #CREAMaine or #CathanceRiverEducationAlliance

We hope these summer camp activities will connect your family with nature this summer. We look forward to welcoming you to CREA Nature Investigators!
