Winter Wonderland StoryWalk® – “Over and Under the Snow”
December 13 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 amFree
StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are attached to wooden stakes, which are installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story.
Join us this December to enjoy the crunching of the snow on the trails and the shimmering ice on the trees as we explore CREA’s December StoryWalk® book “Over and Under the Snow” by Kate Messner with art by Christopher Silas Neal.
The Group will meet at the CREA Ecology Center then proceed down the Barnes Leap Trail (mellow hiking terrain) to the Cathance River following the pages of the StoryWalk® along the way. After the walk the group will return to the CREA Ecology Center to warm up by the pellet stove.
Bring a snack, water bottle, and warm gear for this winter excursion on the Cathance River Nature Preserve.
