What’s Hiding in Vernal Pools LIVE STREAM

Join BSC Group’s Senior Ecologist, Matt Burne, on an exploration of the fascinating wildlife that can be found in vernal pool habitats across the Northeast. Wade into the wonders of wee beasties and salamanders congressing, and learn about the biodiversity found in vernal pools. Learn what ‘Big Night’ is (it’s not a movie starring Tony Shaloub!) in the world of amphibians!

Matt Burne is a Senior Ecologist with the BSC Group Ecological Unit. For the last 15 years, he was the Conservation Director with the Walden Woods Project in Lincoln, and previously spent ten years as an Ecologist and environmental reviewer with the Massachusetts Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program. Matt co-founded and is Vice-President of the Vernal Pool Association, a 501.c.3 non-profit with the mission to promote the study, appreciation, and protection of vernal pools. He has spent his career educating people about vernal pools and their protection.
