Meditative Walk and Mandala Making at the Heath – Rescheduled to November 26
November 26 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
This program is FREE but registration is required. Please email Andrea at email@example.com to save your place.
Immerse yourself in nature and create something beautiful! Join Heather Goulette and Maria Castellano-Usery for a mindful meditative walk and some gentle stretching and breath work on the Heath Trail at the Cathance River Preserve. Throughout the walk, participants are encouraged to gather things in nature for mandala making back at the Ecology Center. Mandala making can be an opportunity to create something visually appealing; absorbing the mind, deflating unwanted or negative though patterns and reflecting the cosmic circular nature of life and the universe.
Heather Goulette, LMT, has been studying, practicing, and teaching mindfulness, internal martial arts, and yoga, in one form or another for 20+ years. She has spent much time in moving meditation in the Maine woods, rivers, lakes, and coastline, cultivating a deep appreciation for the healing power of the natural world.
Maria Castellano-Usery is an artist, community activist, and long time practitioner of yoga and meditation. Her art work has been described as positive, fun, mystical, and colorful. Her mission is to bring constructive, encouraging, and affirming energy into people’s lives though art.
