Inspired by Nature: Environmental Economics
September 26 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pmFree
What is environmental economics? How can we use economic insight and analysis to create a better environment at least cost to society? Erik Nelson, a professor of economics at Bowdoin College and a CREA Board of Directors member, will review how economic analysis has been used to influence US environmental policy at the federal and local levels. He will also review how economists perceive the global climate change problem and some of the climate change mitigation policies that economists have recommended.
