CREA’s camps help foster your child’s natural curiosity in both the sciences and the arts. Campers will explore nature through outdoor excursions and guided activities around our vernal pool, river, and forest trails. We also use microscopes, play with puppets, and create art projects in our Ecology Center.

Information for Campers & Families

Camp Information Sheet

What is Science Week?  All CREA camps incorporate hands-on science activities, but  this program for young scientists will enable campers to take part in ecological research and monitoring projects. Campers will explore the Cathance River watershed from a more focused scientific perspective than our other camps. Participants might spend the day tracking turtles, testing water quality, or measuring salamander diversity at different spots throughout the CREA nature preserve. Campers will practice research design and fieldwork techniques as we collect data together. If your child is looking for a camp with a full day of outdoor hands-on science, this is the program to choose.
